A Mountain of Trouble, Shattered Pantheon 1
After spending ages forgotten to his burden of holding the heavens aloft Atlas finds a way to freedom. Leaving his old enemy to hold the pillars he enters a world where things have progressed and women become even more vibrant and strong, especially one in particular.
Cleo, the aspiring artist, spends her days working a customer service phone line while dreaming of bigger and better things. She never could have imagined bigger and better are headed her way in the form of a sexy Titan determined to enjoy his new found freedom.
When the Olympians discover Zeus is missing and his throne vacant battle lines are clearly drawn. Ares decides there's no better time to stage a hostile takeover while Hades decides to go about things in a more subtle way. Atlas quickly discovers that a quiet life on Earth without godly interference is impossible and his closeness with Cleo holds danger for her.
A safe and quiet life is turned upside down for an artist just trying to make it in the world doing what she loves. Cleo isn't afraid to stand up for herself and protects those she cares for, but immortal gods are not something she's used to. Can she trust Atlas or will she end up another hapless mortal lost to whims of the gods?
A HUGE shout out to The MET who have made hundreds of thousands of pieces from their collection available for use, like the one of atlas to the left. I can not recommend enough that people take a stroll through the virtual collection as it is full of some absolutely wonderful works! This piece is listed as Crouching Figure of Atlas by Baldassare Tommaso Peruzzi (Italian, Ancaiano 1481–1536 Rome).
