Trios of Trouble (Characters that come in threes!)
This page is for those threesomes that just didn't seem to fit as Gods and the Non-gods page didn't do them justice.
The Judges (Minos, Rhadamanthys, Aiakos)
These three are often simply referred to as 'The Judges' in the underworld since they determine the fate of souls after death. The three are a constant trio who rarely part company for any length of time and take their job seriously.
Minos:
Not a cruel judge, but definitely stern and unforgiving. Minos gives no mercy when a soul comes before him and has no qualms in handing out appropriate punishments when they are due.
Rhadamanthys:
A kind but fair judge, he is the one you want to see in the after life. Rhadamanthys is able see the intentions and reason behind a soul's actions while alive and offer up some mercy. He tends to soften the stance of his brother Minos and ensures that not all souls are punished for eternity.
Aiakos:
Aiakos walks the middle ground between his brothers but is most known for holding the keys to the underworld and ensuring no trespassing or escapes happen. Trusted above his brother by Hades he is responsible for the gates of the underworld just as much as Cerberus who guards them.
The Furies (Megaera, Alecto, Tisiphone)
These three are the living essence of getting even! Most gods fear them since they tend to curse those who treat other poorly, especially family members. When it comes to punishment these ladies know what they're doing and don't hold back.
Megaera (Meg):
She has a foul mouth and a bad attitude. This fury doesn't take sh*t from anyone. Meg will lay down a curse before thinking it through and leave the affected to deal with the fall out. The last thing anyone wants is to end up on her bad side, even the gods fear her quick temper.
Alecto (Al):
Unofficial leader of the three she tends to play the role of big sister. Unlike Meg and Tizzy, Al will think through a punishment BEFORE dishing it out. Not always able to keep her sisters under control she can occasionally at least talk sense into them
Tisiphone (Tizzy):
Tizzy is the hedonist of the group. She might enjoy a good curse, but she's just as into a good time. Always up to party and a lover more than a fighter she play the role of seductress like she was born to it!
The Fates (Clotho, Lachesis, Atropus)
The most feared of all the terrible trios the fates not only see the future they have sway over how it will play out. They require no god's permission and can change anyone's fate in an instant. Identical triplet the three are mysterious and daunting though occasionally willing to do a favor for one in return. Making deals with the fats rarely ends well and few have the nerve to do it. Not much is known of the three but their jobs are clear.
Clotho:
Clotho does the spinning creating the thread of life that determines the fate of all.
Lachesis:
She is the one who determines how long each individual's thread will be measuring each perfectly for her sisters.
Atropus:
She cuts the thread of a life ending it at just the right moment.
The Muses (Kalliope, Kleio, Erato)
Our goddesses of creativity and very embodiments of the the creative spirit are a group of fun loving if meddlesome women who can be an artist's best friend, or a god's worst enemy. These ladies are expressive as artists tend to be and let their emotions create everything from snarky comments to masterpieces!
Kalliope:
Tends to remain calm and soothe a situation. Lover of music and harmony she keeps her sisters from causing too much chaos when they get out of hand.
Kleio:
Kleio is the muse of fun! If it's troublesome and has a good punchline she's there ready to start some chaos. She's open, friendly, and has zero problem sticking her nose in anyone's business.
Erato:
She is the muse who loves chaos the most. Seeing the beauty and art of randomness and upset Erato loves trouble. Of the the three sisters she is the one most likely to see the beauty in a good fire or explosion.
